With the holidays fast approaching, we want to make sure you’re aware of the changes to facilities and services offerings and opening times during the Christmas break.
The Christmas holiday runs from Monday 18 December 2023 – Sunday 7 January 2024.
The campus is closed between Monday 25 December and Monday 1 January. All term dates are listed on the academic calendar.
Kimberlin Library
Planning to make the most of your holidays?
The Library and Learning Services team will still be here to support your studies during the break, and you can access the electronic library resources and self-study materials at all times.
The Kimberlin Library will remain open but make sure to before you go.
If in doubt, email justask@dmu.ac.uk and don't forget about to reflect, refresh, regroup.
Food outlets
The following outlets will be closed from Monday 18 December 2023 until Monday 8 January 2024:
- Library Café, Kimberlin Library
- Coffee Hut, Campus Centre Building
- Subway, Campus Centre Building
SKVP at Riverside maintains its current hours (10am to 10pm every day) until 10pm on Friday 22 December, when it will close until 10am on Friday 5 January.
The remaining outlets will be closed between Monday 25 December 2023 and Tuesday 2 January 2024:
- Food Village, Vijay Patel Building
- Coffee House, Hugh Aston Building
- Simply Fresh, Campus Centre Building
AV Loans
Bookings made from Monday 6 November, for collection between Monday 4 and Friday 15 December, have an extended Christmas loan duration of 35 days to allow you to continue with coursework activities during the holidays.
AV Loans will be open until Friday 22 Dec 2023 and will re-open in the new year.
